MCB General Update: May 2023

When I first started this blog, the plan was to design the website around the MCTS bus system. The initial website url was mkeCountyB.us and I used an edited photo of a county bus for the large photo when people visit the website. The blue, green, yellow color scheme feels inviting to me. An early post (the reason for starting the blog) proposed griding the Milwaukee County bus routes to make riding the bus more attractive to a broader swath of county residents therefore increasing ridership and MCTS finances.

At the time I had further ambitions such as Milwaukee County Podcast and perhaps a coffee shop in Bayside named Milwaukee County Cafe; over time my feelings towards Milwaukee County Blog tilted towards it being too generic so that may change as well later on. In the meantime, there's a new image for the front page of the Town of Milwaukee Town Hall located next to a beautiful stretch of Glendale next door to their town hall and across the street from Parkway Elementary School.

To me the building signifies the close connection the city and county have long shared and better represents my own connection to the area. The MCB color scheme will remain but the silly bus centered design is no more after three years of serving its purpose of getting me up and writing.
